HAVENWOOD FALLS – Today we are chatting with E.J. Fechenda, the author of the upcoming release Stray with Me, a Havenwood Falls Sin & Silk novella. Fechenda is our first author to have written a story in every series: Fate, Love & Loyalty (HF), Fata Morgana (HFH) and Fated Beginnings (LHF). Fechenda has taken some time today to answer a few of our questions

What is a book that has inspired you?
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
This is the first book I remember ripping my heart out when a character died because I was so drawn into the story – like I was a member of the March family. To become so emotionally invested in a story is a rare gift.

Who is an author you look up to?
Stephen King. He is a legend and his career is remarkable.

How do you come up with character names?
One of the best jobs I had was as a database manager where I had access to over 1 million customer names. Whenever I came across a unique first name, I added it to a spreadsheet. Now whenever I read an article and a name jumps out at me, I save it. I also have a family genealogy tome that goes back to the 1600s. This is a treasure trove of names.

If you lived in Havenwood Falls who would you be or what would you be?
I’d be a fae or a witch. I would love the ability to heal others and or cast spells. Aging very slowly would be a bonus!

Do you have any other new releases coming soon?
Stray With Me releases April 19th and the sequel to Fate, Love & Loyalty will be out in 2019. Outside of Havenwood Falls, the third book in the Ghost Stories Trilogy will be released this summer.

What is your favorite food?
I love any Asian cuisine.

Thank you E.J. for this interview.
Stray with Me releases Friday April 19, 2019
