Xandru Roca from Kristie Cook's Forget You Not

A rare interview with Xandru Roca

HAVENWOOD FALLS — Today we have a rare interview with a member of the Roca family, one of the founding families of Havenwood Falls. Not surprisingly, Alexandru “Xandru” Roca is a man of few words.

Tell us about yourself.

Xandru Roca. I work at the family’s businesses. Try to help out with repairs and stuff around town when I can. Fun isn’t something I’ve known for quite a while.

What is something unexpected that most people don’t know about you?

If I want people to know, they’d already know. Otherwise, it’s none of their damn business.

What do you love about living in/visiting Havenwood Falls? What frustrates you most?

I like the weather, the skiing, the hunting. Most frustrating? The f*#@ing Court.

Where would you live if you could live anywhere in the world?

Wherever my girl is.

Where’s your favorite place to hang out in Havenwood Falls and why?

Whisper Falls Inn and the ski slopes. No explanation necessary.

What’s your favorite holiday/festival/special thing to do?

Carnival at the Falls is all right. I’m always disappointed in who doesn’t make the fall, though. Things would be different if I had any say, but I’m a Roca. Nobody cares what we have to say. Midsummers Night Terrors isn’t too bad, either. If I had to pick, those two are tolerable.

While Mr. Roca, like the rest of his family, may keep things close to the vest, you can read more about him in Forget You Not by Kristie Cook. Watch for our next spotlights on Aster McCabe and the new man in town, Gage Barrows, coming Wednesday, Aug. 9.
